Excellent condition frost beige 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe. Professionally installed quality custom parts throughout. Chevy 400 small block bored 0.030 over to 406 cubic inches, mild cam so it has good street manners, Ebelbrock Torker II intake. Timing chain, cam and valve springs all new. GM Quadrajet carb, Hedman Hugger Headers with Flowmaster exhaust, THM700R4 transmission. Fat Man chassis with Mustang II front suspension with 11” Granada disc brakes. Ford 9” rear axle, 3.50 gears and 79 Mercury Cougar drums. Undercarriage looks like new. Working Vintage AC system. Cadillac steering column. Ford Festiva seats. Battery relocated to behind the rear seat. Chrome strips for sides of hood are in the trunk. Garage kept, and never raced nor abused. Have all ownership records, and a 5“stack of receipts, manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation. Car cover included.
My FIL owned this car for over 65 years and worked on it his entire life, it was his prized possession. Sadly, he recently passed away, and the family would like to sell the car to a good home. In the 15+ years I knew my FIL I only saw this car driven once, and that was for it to be the family pic centerpiece.
All the major work is done, and all that remains are a few things. My FIL was working on the brakes at the time of his passing, so I’m unsure of the status of them, although all parts are there (master cylinder is off). The interior carpet etc. need to be finished, as seen in pictures.
