Beautiful and regal, medieval almost. Always gets admiring comments. The mattress has held up for about 5 years as good as new. This rare cherrywood piece is about 20 years old and has some nicks on the footings that could be touched up but is otherwise in fine condition. No acrobatics allowed on the metal canopy (although it has proven itself sturdy enough for less arduous feats).
