Located on the grounds of Historic St. Mary’s City, a 17 th Century Living History Museum, seeks to rent their commercial kitchen. We are offering an opportunity for a new food venture to partner with HSMC. We are looking for your unique baking and dining expertise. You must accommodate our specific days and times to meet the needs of the visiting public. In addition, you are encouraged to provide food for special events such as Maryland Day, “Shakespeare in the City,” May Day, Tidewater Archaeology Weekend and other events.
We offer a safe clean space and equipment such as: Refrigerators, Storage, Large walk-in Refrigerator and Freezer, Convection Oven, (4) Burner Stove Top, Dishwasher, Hand Stations, and storage areas.
Requirements: St. Mary’s County Food Handlers Certification, St. Mary’s County Health Department permits, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Plan and liability insurance.
A security deposit will be required in the amount of $1,200.00, and a monthly rental fee of $1,200 will include electric and propane, a three year lease must be signed, with a 5% increase yearly.
The museum’s hours of operation are staggered Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Spring and Fall, Summer hours are Wednesday – Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
