Under the supervision of the Construction Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting in the successful operation, management and estimation of both Government and Commercial Construction Projects.


  1.  Responsible for assisting the Project Manager by acting in his or her behalf when required and by carrying out specific tasks to insure that quality, safe, and efficient operations are maintained at the assigned contract location according to statements of work and established costing and budget.
  2. Responsible for:
  • A. Overseeing the work of assigned shift (day or night).
  • B. Preparing all check requests, purchase orders and any other financial document to include keeping the required financial records as directed by Project Manager.
  • C. Preparing all supply and equipment requisitions and other documents concerning these areas to include keeping the required inventory and usage records, insuring the proper use of all equipment and supplies including vehicles assigned to the project as directed by Project Manager.
  • D. Overseeing the preparation of time sheets and vacation requests to include keeping the required records pertaining to these areas.
  • E. Preparation submittals and schedules for all assigned projects.
      3. Assisting in the supervision of Office Assistant, Quality Control Specialist and all assigned Foremen.Assisting in maintaining contact and positive communications with the contract managers and tenant representatives to insure the work is being performed per contract specifications and to keep them informed of any special problems or schedule changes. 
      4. Assisting in the conduct of required training for staff including the Quality Control Specialist, Security Specialist, supervisory personnel and crews in the use of proper methods, techniques, materials and equipment to insure quality and safe performance of duties.
      5. Assists Project Manager in scheduling of employees and subcontractors to satisfactorily fulfill all contract requirements.  
      6. Assists as required and directed by the Project Manager the preparation of quality control, work schedules, and other plans, schedules, and reports necessary to fulfill the contract requirements to include security forms.
      7. Responsible for scheduling equipment maintenance required by the contract to include vehicle maintenance.


The incumbent is supervised by the Project Manager, Senior Project Manager and Officers of the Company.

  1. Good management communication (writing and verbal) and people skills.
  2. experience in dealing with high level government and industry personnel.
  3. prefer some college and basic computer knowledge.
  4. Must be able to work varied hours including evening.
