The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science – Chesapeake Biological Laboratory seeks a Program Administrative Specialist. This position is responsible for the processing of a variety of business related and accounting requests including procurement, account reconciliation and reimbursement and travel requests. This position works under the direction of the Manager of Business Operations and is an integral member of the business operations team.
Qualifications: A degree and (4) years of experience in administrative work is preferred, however, experience may be substituted for a degree on a year-by-year basis. Knowledge of accounting methods, procurement and travel is required. Experience with UMD systems (Kuali Financial Systems and ELF) is preferred. Proficient use of word-processing, database and spreadsheet software is essential. Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple assignments and work independently. The desire to work within a team-oriented environment and a good work ethic is expected.
