I combined a Harbor Freight 13 Gallon Industrial Portable Dust Collector with a Dust Right Chip Separator and mounted them on a furniture dolly to make it a truly portable system.
The fan moves 660 CFM of air, plenty for the separator to remove most of the dust and shavings from the air before it reaches the bag. Keep the separator clean and the bag is very low maintenance.
This dust collector has been very effective in keeping wood dust and shaving manageable when connected to my table saw, router and planner in my small workshop.
The value of all the parts in the photo are about $250.00.
