As a team member, you must be proficient in the methods of old school social media: face-to-face conversations with people you have never met before. We spend our days walking into rooms of Landscape Architects, Architects, Engineers or City Officials and build relationships that will last for life. Your job is to maintain and bolster business through the act of building relationships and getting to know customers. Here at Victor Stanley we travel and engage people by establishing trust because, as our motto goes, “people do business with people they like”.
Do you like planes? Trains? Automobiles? Throughout your tenure with Victor Stanley you will use most of these forms of transportation for your travels. You are expected to be able to coordinate your schedule, maneuver yourself through foreign lands, and make it back home safely about 17 weeks per year, including weekends, nights and some holidays. You'll be working independently; therefore an entrepreneurial spirit mixed with a sense of "common sense" and "greater good" is highly important.
Most importantly it helps if you are eccentric, goofy, and unique. It can be tough to work here with this group of people because we recruit big and different personalities and have high expectations. We are who we are, and we want you to be you. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree or two years of sales or marketing experience
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule with approximately 17 weeks per year travel with occasional weekend and/or evening work
- Valid driver’s license
