: The incumbent shall provide strategic technical subject matter expertise in support the development of open standards and the application of those standards to existing and new avionics systems. To execute this process, the incumbent shall perform role of technical advisor to the government. The incumbent shall provide SME support to the Academia technical team focused on the validation and verification open standards which include software and hardware open standards as well as functional decomposition. The incumbent shall provide recommendations for strategic planning of when and how these software and hardware standards are applied. The incumbent shall support design reviews and review design documentation, specifically to determine if the solutions conform with the open standards. The incumbent shall develop and support technical briefs during Outreach events. The incumbent shall provide technical support to business analysis efforts. The incumbent shall be a liaison to platforms integrating open standards into Programs of Record (PORs). The incumbent shall draft and manage acquisition documentation (SOW/CDRLs) at an appropriate level of detail for the phase of the program. Other duties as assigned. Support the following Military branch platforms and systems for the government: including alignment with other government-owned and commercial standards, support the development of software and hardware open standards and support the management and oversight of academia efforts to validate the standards and associated software tooling such as development and integration tooling. : BS degree in a Engineering/Science discipline, math or computer science is required. A BS degree in Software Engineering is preferred.
: At least ten (10) years of experience in an Engineering/Science Field, with at least six (6) of those years working with NAVAIR avionics systems is required. Must be knowledgeable of current NAVAIR policy relating to software integration, required.
