Technology Security Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer. The selected candidate will analyze and/or develop and document engineering requirements and capabilities across the acquisition lifecycle for critical components, critical information and critical function resident in systems architecture, design, testing for relevance to technical capability and mission success. The candidate will develop Anti-Tamper Plans (ATP) and generate documentation and briefs in support of accrediting agencies assessment of said plans. Researches and develop security and protection plans to test, validate and certify the handling of critical program information (CPI) and critical components through the system lifecycle. Advises Program Managers and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads on technical matters involving Anti-Tamper engineering, under their cognizance, and serves as consultant and advisor to various segments of government, industry, and the Department of Defense in AT technical issues. Performs as a support engineer for the identification and protection of CPI and the development and integration of Anti-Tamper (AT) into mission, sensor and weapon systems, which includes developing and reviewing program technical and mission documentation, providing authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues to ensure AT requirements are met. Develops and reviews configuration documentation. Participates in program and technical reviews, reviews and analyzes procurement specifications and data packages; reviews T&E suitability/ supportability documentation; reviews and provides technical recommendations on Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and/or spiral upgrades; and participates in technical working groups to resolve any AT related engineering issues. Prepares and reviews engineering support plans to include cost analysis. Assists with program platform software requirements and development to assure AT requirements are incorporated.
Required Skills and Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, operational research, physics, or a related scientific discipline from an institution accredited by a US Department of Education in approved agency. In lieu of a degree a combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying DoD weapon and/or sensor systems engineering, (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to DoD weapons, sensors and/or systems engineering, (3) knowledge of the DoD the acquisition process; and (4) demonstrated ability and experience in analyzing weapon systems and developing results of the analysis in reports..
Have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of recent and relevant technical engineering experience applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, or evaluate military sensor, weapon and/or mission system.
Exceptional candidates will have experience in one or more of the following activities:
· Security Protection Planning for critical hardware/software technology
· Analysis of alternative protection strategies for critical engineering components
· Developed Program Protection Plans inclusive of Anti-Tamper considerations for critical program information
Acquisition experience across the program life cycle, including capability needs, design considerations and constraints, as well as limitations imposed by technology, budget, schedule is desired. In depth knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices including hardware, software, information systems, Program Protection and AT solutions is desired, with a focus in system security engineering.
Must have current active Secret clearance, and be clearable to Top Secret. Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Occasional CONUS travel may be required.
