We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to support our Patuxent River customer. The incumbent will provide support to the IMDS Program of Record. Duties include the configuration, deployment, and management of servers, and any other related hardware and software. Technical support is provided to H-1, H-53, and H-60 squadrons at sites both in the continental USA and outside the continental USA in regards to troubleshooting functionality of the IMDS systems. The incumbent will perform software patching, vulnerability mitigation and testing to ensure compliance with IMDS USN and USMC Risk Management Framework Authority to Operate. They will apply their knowledge of supporting and administering MS Windows Server 2008R2, MS Windows Server 2012R2, Oracle Database 11g and 12C, MS SQL Server 2008/2012, and MS Remote Desktop Gateway Service.
System administration is part of the daily duties to assist both team members and fleet users to gain appropriate access to different sections of the IMDS interface from both within and outside of the USN/USMC infrastructures. Candidates must possess demonstrated capability of troubleshooting Operating Systems and database and network communications.
Required Education: BS/BA Degree.
Required Certifications: Security + and MS Operating System Certification
Required Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedure.
