St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the contingent position of Office Associate I. The Office Associate I will provide administrative and event support for the Office of Alumni Relations staff. Handling the day-to-day office operations and addressing alumni requests and inquiries through email and by phone will be primary responsibilities for this position. The Office Associate I will also be responsible for providing event planning support leading up to, and at times during, on-campus alumni events, alumni chapter events, and Alumni Council functions. This position handles confidential and sensitive materials, receives general supervision, and exercises considerable discretion and judgment in all work areas. This position will also process payroll for student employees. This is a 20 hour/week, contingent position that could be eligible for medical benefit subsidy.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and at least three years full-time administrative experience. Must have working knowledge in using a personal computer and various Microsoft Office software applications, well-organized, and possess good phone etiquette and administrative support skills. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
