The Cybersecurity Engineer shall support tasking that involves the security oversight and guidance to ensure systems are compliant with DoD guidance and mandates. Will support all Cybersecurity activities and tasking. This support will include system Certification and Accreditation (C&A) support, analysis of the CYBERSAFE posture of systems, development of secure systems, and integration, testing, and maintenance of the systems. Responsible for supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) in accordance with DODI 8500.01 Cybersecurity and DODI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework for DOD Information Technology (IT) to support the identification of Platform Information Technology (PIT). The scope of this position includes full life-cycle Authorization to Operate (ATO) management, security engineering, security assessment and testing, and information system security oversight activities that support several systems. The Cybersecurity Engineer shall maintain thorough knowledge of current and ongoing C&A and cyber security standards to include the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) and RMF C&A standards. Additionally, works closely with systems owners, government managers, and other stakeholders to manage Cybersecurity requirements.
Bachelors of Science required from an accredited institution in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or related discipline.
