Airtec Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic – Gulfstream IV-SP Aircraft

Job Description

Airtec is currently seeking a highly-qualified A&P mechanic to support a modified GIV-SP aircraft. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the assigned aircraft are maintained in accordance with FAA standards and all logbook and company reporting requirements are met. This position is filled by a highly experienced Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic, able to operate independently in austere environments worldwide. Contributes as a team member to maintain high aircraft availability rates 365 days per year. Supervises any contracted technicians performing specialized inspections, repairs, or logistical support on or off site. Interfaces with domestic and foreign government representatives regarding the use of local logistical infrastructure.

• If needed, relocation available for highly qualified, selected candidates
• Travel and rotational deployment to CONUS and possible austere OCONUS duty locations is required
• Must be able to secure a secret level security clearance and complete pre-deployment training in accordance with governmental standards through either a USACE Deployment Center or a CONUS Replacement Center

Primary Responsibilities

• Support daily flight operations, pre and post flight inspections, fuel coordination, maintaining accurate maintenance records and onsite inventory records of GSE and Spares
• Installation, inspection, and operational testing, of mechanical equipment, and aircraft systems, on a G-IV aircraft
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with mechanical systems that may arise during aircraft operation
• Contribute to the successful program execution and customer support
• Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work
• Working knowledge of OEM (Gulfstream) operations is a plus
• Maintain professionalism at all times during deployment

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Current A&P Mechanic certification
• Certifications for specific aircraft may also be required
