Performs risk analysis and risk generation across the program in concert with Subject Matter Experts (SME), Engineering, and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership. Organizes and conducts collaborative risk meetings with the Government and Contractor. Identifies risk interdependencies with other areas of the program. Coordinates the design and maintenance of risk register software, such as IBM JAZZ. Tracks, documents, and coordinates all identified and emerging risk activity. Works with risk owners and SME’s to define detailed, quantifiable risk mitigation and burndown plans. Advises Engineering, IPT, and Program leadership on risk courses of action. Authors and presents senior leader level risk briefings.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Individuals should possess five (5) or more years of experience in support of DoD or other US government agency programs/projects in the areas of risk management and PMA support.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and show leadership ability. Strong problem-solving ability. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Facilitates interpersonal relationships, resolves conflicts quickly and tactfully, and positively influences others. Familiarity with DOD standards and requirements is required. Familiarity with weapons systems is desired. Experience in working schedules for complex/large organizations. Ability to take coordinate the opinions of multiple stakeholders, working with customers, companies and organizations in the development of integrated cost and schedules. Capable of identifying schedule disconnects, taking action by calling meetings to negotiate actions necessary for effective resolution. Demonstrates ability to prepare status reports and metrics, make presentations as required. Demonstrates presentation skills to make schedule related presentations to senior management and customers.
