The systems used are ETIMS, DPAS, NATEC, DECKPLATE, ONETOUCH and Plant Clearance Automated Reutilization Screening (PCARS). This position will review PCARS for any H-53 aircraft and T64 engine components being removed from contract. If discovered applicable, the component must be researched for proper disposition to include working with Foreign Military Sales representatives for the H53D tools. The Electronic Tooling Information System (ETIMS) is a system currently being used to manage the Special Tooling/Special Test Equipment (ST/STE). The following requirements and duties are associated with this position and are as follows:
The incumbent:
  • Will be trained and certified in use of ETIMs and DPAS
  • Will assist in monitoring the request for ST/STE by vendors to manufacture components, and take the proper steps in managing the borrowing of the ST/STE
  • Will assist in tracking all borrowed tools, and ensure that all overdue tools are identified and returned to the government storage facility
  • Will work closely with the Government and OEM tooling manager for proper tool accountability and transfers
  • Will assist in coordinating travel and visits to the storage facility to conduct a hands on inventory a minimum of two times a year, or when warranted
  • Will assist in identifying discrepancies discovered during the inventory process, and correct them as appropriate prior to the next inventory
  • Working with the logistics team, will make every effort to reduce the warehouse footprint working with the APML office and AIR-6.8, to reduce overall program storage costs
  • Will maintain communication with the APML Office on all matters involving government property on a regular basis
  • Work with DAPML/APML for tracking and reporting In-Service Governance Property (OM&S/GE) as required. May be assigned as Organizational Property Administrator (OPA) via Accountable Property Official (APO).
  • This position is required to access government sites via Common Access Card.
Education: BS or BA degree Acquisition, Logistics Management, Business, or Management.
ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional five (5) years of acquisition or operational logistics management experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
Experience: At least six (6) years of experience in operational logistics support/maintenance engineering, or Demonstrated Master Logistician (DML) plus three (3) years of recent experience in acquisition
logistics/maintenance engineering. Three (3) years’ experience in technical analysis of operational ILS requirements. Three (3) years of specific experience in operational logistics planning. Experience or education demonstrating ability to perform IPS studies, analysis, and evaluations in support of DoD weapons systems/equipment.
ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An MS or MA degree may be substituted for two (2) years of operations logistics experience.
