St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Office Administrator.   Responsibilities include preparation, management and reporting of annual budgets and accounting records; management of all purchase orders; management of OIT project schedules, evaluation of software and system solutions for campus technology needs, review and approval of timesheets for payroll purposes; maintenance of the departmental calendar; and content management of the departmental website, support center knowledge base and the departmental blog. Must be well organized and possess good communication and technology skills. Receives minimal supervision and exercises considerable discretion and judgment in all work areas. Handles confidential and sensitive issues. May supervise clerical employees, student employees and interns.


Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher with course work in accounting, information management, computer science, project management, web design/development and/or information technology preferred.  At least five years responsible experience in information technology, project management, procurement, contracts management, bookkeeping, accounting, web design/development or office management involving advanced records keeping (directly related business school or college courses may be substituted equally for up to one year’s experience).  Must be bondable.  Experience using digital media software and content management systems.  Must have the ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work accurately, to make difficult mathematical computations with and without mechanical assistance. Must possess excellent business writing skills.  Experience in information technology procurement and contract management or in website design, content management, digital media, or learning technology is a plus. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.  Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
