Information Technology Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic organized IT professional to join our team. The IT Specialist provides wide ranges of technical assistance and basic application training to the end users via phone, e-mail, or remotely including basic computer troubleshooting, minor computer repairing, physical computer installation and relocation, researching hardware or software specifications and availability, and managing IT relates assets.   They install, modify and make minor repairs to computers and software systems. They rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity, discretion and latitude is expected. 



·         Provide technical guidance and supports remotely or locally, travel as necessary

·         Responsible for the hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

·         Responsible for training end users in proper use of the hardware or software, if required

·         Handle technical support request through e-mail, remotely, or in person; analyzing reported problem, resolving recurring issue, and escalating the issue if needed

·         Provides updates, status, and completion information to end users

·         Handle minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment following the proper installation specifications

·         Perform OS and software updates as necessary

·         Perform physical computer system installation and relocation

·         Responsible for maintaining a neat and organized workstation

·         Responsible researching hardware and software product specifications, availability, and pricing

·         Responsible procurement of computer equipment, computer accessories, and supplies

·         Asset Management, maintain software and hardware inventories

·         Support and maintain the telephone system

·         Performs weekly back-up media

·         Perform multiple projects at the same time

·         Perform and maintain existing written documentation and use of the knowledgebase

·         Maintain daily record of computer data transactions such as reported IT related activities and resolution of the issues, and/or requests, and assigning the work orders

·         Works as a team player in all aspects of the IT Department

·         Performs other duties as assigned


Experience and Education:

·         Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma/equivalent with over five years of work related experience   

·         Experience with hardware and software issues

·         Proficient knowledge of PC operations, internet software, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite software, and email clients, etc. are required

·         Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
