St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the contingent position of Office Associate II in the Office of the Registrar. This is a one-year temporary contingent position, 25-30 hours per week, with a gross hourly pay of $15, no benefits provided. This position is responsible for a variety of functions including, but not limited to processing grades, incomplete forms, change of grades, and course registration. Duties also include answering phone calls, emailing and assisting anyone who walks into the office. Incumbent interacts with students, faculty and staff across campus.
Qualifications include a high school diploma/GED, associate’s degree preferred, with successful completion of courses in typing/word processing (minimum speed of 40 correct wpm), data entry, Dbase, spreadsheets, and microcomputer systems. At least five years of full-time employment in the secretarial/administration field. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Good organizational skills. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
