Askey, Askey & Associates, CPA, LLC is a full-service accounting firm serving clients throughout the Southern Maryland area and beyond, dedicated to providing our clients with professional, personalized services and guidance in a wide range of financial and business needs.   We are currently seeking a full-time motivated professional to join our growing team in our Leonardtown office.  The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience in public accounting and be experienced with both tax preparation and auditing services. 

Duties Include:
- Preparation of Federal, State and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships and LLC’s, Corporations, and exempt organizations
- Preparation of supporting work papers
- Making book and tax journal entries

Required Skills & Experience:
- Basic knowledge of taxation and accounting
- Ability to succeed in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines
- Strong documentation skills
- Strong computer skills/MS office skills
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Reliability

 Preferred Skills & Experience:
-  1-2 years of public accounting experience
-  Proficient in QuickBooks
-  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field
-  CPA or CPA candidate
