St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the part-time position of Registered Nurse (RN). This is a 15 hour/week contingent position with no benefits provided and an hourly rate of pay of $30.00. This position provides holistic health, mental health, and advocacy services to students on campus. Duties include providing limited health care and health education to students of the college during walk-in clinic hours. The RN will work cooperatively and collaboratively with the Director of the Wellness Center and the contract health care providers and provider referrals for students as needed. The RN must maintain accurate and timely electronic health records and provide screening and brief intervention for drug and alcohol reported usage, patient care by conducting patient assessments, administering treatment and medications, performing diagnostic tests, and arranging patient follow-up care.
Qualifications: Must hold a current license in the State of Maryland as a registered nurse. Two to three years’ experience working as a RN. Experience working with college aged students is a plus. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
