Historic St. Mary’s City Museum, a museum of living history and archaeology, located on the site of Maryland’s first capitol (1634 – 1695) seek applicants for the position of Living History Interpreter:
Living History Interpreter (note: new hourly pay rate)
Details:
· Full-time and part-time, seasonal positions, from early March through November, Saturdays and some Sundays in the summer included.
· Requires working in uniform or 17th -century costume (provided).
· Opportunity to teach history in an outdoor classroom at one or more of the following sites: 17th -century farm, a square-rigged ship, a Native American village, and the reconstructed town center at Maryland’s 1 st capital.
· Must be willing to learn 17th -century skills and have excellent communication skills.
· Work schedule can vary from 14 to 35 hours per week.
· All positions are paid starting at $16.95/hour and include paid training.
· These positions are open until filled.
