Essential functions of the position:
- Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
- Maintain job and installation schedules. Communicate changes to sales people, installers, and customers
- Esure all stakeholders have the material they need to complete their projects and tasks. Work with purchasing team to resolve shortages and minimize the impact of supply chain challenges on the business.
- Inspects the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment.
- Prepares work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
- Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as sales, records control, and purchasing.
- Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
- Prepares and enters data from weekly cycle counts.
- Adjusts inventory as necessary and documents discrepancies in these inventories.
- Ensure/maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure all daily tasks are completed in a satisfactory time such as material receiving, issuing of material requested, and communication as needed.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
