St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the full-time, temporary, contingent position of Office Associate I, serving Health Services in the Wellness Center. The Office Associate I is responsible for interacting with students in a college healthcare setting. As a client-facing professional, they play a key role in scheduling clinic appointments, responding to student requests, and other functions as needed. Requires minimal supervision and exercises considerable discretion and judgment when handling protected health information according to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). This is a full-time, temporary contingent position from mid-November 2024 through the end of April/early May 2024, that may include limited benefits.  The hourly pay is $16.    

 

Qualifications: High School Diploma (or equivalency) required; Associate degree preferred. At least three years of full-time employment in the secretarial/administration field with proficiency in Microsoft Office; medical office experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) preferred. Any combination of acceptable education and experience that can provide the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
