St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Director of Professional Pathways. The Director of Professional Pathways is a member of the Center for Career & Professional Development (CCPD) leadership team. In collaboration with the Executive Director of Career Development, this position provides leadership and direction for all Professional Development courses, co-curricular programming, and initiatives related to the Honors College Promise as part of the Learning through Experiential and Applied Discovery (LEAD) curriculum. The Director of Professional Pathways will develop an effective, inclusive, and innovative professional environment for students through the Professional Pathways curriculum.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree in education, student affairs, or counseling preferred. Five to eight years’ experience within education or career development. Three to five years’ teaching experience. Prior success working with at risk and historically underserved students. Prior success in course development and assessment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven attention to detail, organizational abilities, and capacity to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital and social media tools. Ability to utilize data to inform strategic decisions. Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external contacts. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check. The salary range is $90k-$95k, depending on qualifications and experience.
