St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Coordinator of Equity Programming.This position will focus on academic and social programming with the aim of increasing student engagement and increasing student retention, persistence, and graduation rates for students in the Landers Scholars Program, Sum Primus, and other equity-focused programs.  

 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree desired. At least three to five years of full-time employment in an educational field; experience working in education, student activities, and or event planning. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, more specifically, student populations that have been historically excluded from higher education, with particular focus on first-generation college students.  Experience creating and implementing academic and social programs is ideal. The incumbent is required to work some nights and weekends. Candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, access, and inclusion along with an understanding of the value of a liberal arts education. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.  Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check. The salary range is  $48,500 to $56,650, depending on qualifications and experience.
