Job Description Job Title: Business Engagement Program Coordinator Reports To: Business Engagement Program Manager Grade and Salary Range: Grade 11, Steps 7 - 8, $50,269 - $51,190 FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Prepared Date / Updated Date: 9/25

Job Summary: The Business Engagement Program Coordinator supports and advances initiatives that strengthen relationships between the organization and the business community. This role involves assisting to coordinate outreach activities and partnerships; and provides administrative and program support for business engagement efforts. The Program Coordinator serves as a liaison between TCCSMD, businesses, industry partners, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Coordinate and support business engagement programs, events, and initiatives. • Build and maintain positive relationships with business leaders, community partners, and stakeholders. • Assist in developing outreach and marketing strategies to engage new business partners and strengthen existing collaborations. • Support the planning and execution of meetings, workshops, job fairs, and events. • Manage program and meeting logistics including scheduling, registrations, materials, and follow-up. • Collect, track, and report data on business engagement activities, outcomes, and impact. • Assist in tracking local labor market and resource information. • Draft communications, outreach materials, and presentations. • Respond to inquiries from businesses and route to the appropriate staff member. • Manage assigned projects, including timelines, budget, and reporting. • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. • Advanced social media skills and ability to maintain variety of platforms. • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with CRM or database systems preferred. • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Comfortable representing the organization in public settings and networking environments.

Qualifications / Required Education and Experience: • High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred. • Minimum of 2 years experience in program coordination, community engagement, partnership management, or administrative work. • Experience working with business leaders, workforce development programs, or nonprofit organizations preferred. • Experience tracking and reporting budget expenditures.

Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Work may require frequent travel to off-site locations for meetings and events.

Physical Demands: The position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to walk short distances. Position may require use of a motor vehicle.

Conditions of Employment: • Must have a valid driver’s license and daily access to a vehicle. • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check, • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
