We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team and help us maintain our high standards of food quality and service.

Job Summary: As a Kitchen Manager at Chief’s, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. You will lead a team of dedicated employees, ensuring the consistent production of high-quality dishes and a smooth running kitchen. You will be responsible for cooking, training, menu development, food costing, kitchen staff management, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen Operations: Manage and oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation, to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the staff to develop and update menus, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they are well-versed in kitchen procedures, and safety. Maintain a high level of teamwork and morale.
  • Inventory and Cost Control: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food and labor costs effectively.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency.
  • Scheduling: Create and manage kitchen staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure quality ingredients and competitive pricing.
  • Problem Solving: Address any kitchen-related issues or discrepancies promptly, finding effective solutions to maintain a smoothly operating kitchen.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of diverse cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and kitchen management software is required.
  • ServSafe Manager Certificate is preferred.
