What are some of the new features with this latest generation of your classifieds system?
We listened to our customers and have incorporated all the most commonly requested features. There is a brief overview here. There is also an overview of all main features here.
How do I register for an account?
Click on Register at the top right of the classifieds page and follow the instructions on the screen OR you can log in with Facebook.
I can't remember my username and/or password.
To find out the username and password registered to your email address, go to the Forgot Password page and enter the email address. The system will email the info to the respective address.
When registering for a new account, it says my email address is already in use.
An email address can only be registered to one user account. To find out the username and password registered to your email address, go to the Forgot Password page and enter the email address. The system will email the info to the respective address.
How do I post an ad?
Once you're logged into your account, click Place Ad. From there you select the category for your ad, fill in the information, choose your options and photos, then preview (optional) or go to the next step. Your ad will be placed in a shopping cart that you'll see to the left of your screen. To place more ads, repeat the Place Ad process. When you're finished, click on your shopping cart to check out.

How do I pay for my ad?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal for online payment. You may also pay with a check or money order by sending it via postal mail to us at the address provided. Please note that we do not accept eCheck payments online at this time.
Can I provide my credit card info via the telephone? I don't feel comfortable entering this info via the internet.
Yes, of course. When you make it to the checkout page where payment is requested, select the "Check" option and submit your order. On the subsequent page, open the invoice and make note of the order number. Then give us a call at 1-888-612-0003 x2 and let us know that you want to pay for your ad over the phone and provide your order number.
My Card is being Rejected; I don't want to lose all of the ads I am trying to post.
If this happens to you, simply change the form of payment to "Check" and submit the order. On the subsequent page, open the invoice and make note of the order number. Then give us a call at 1-888-612-0003 x2 and let us know that you want to pay for your ad over the phone and provide your order number. We can then run your card manually. If that fails, an alternate form of payment can be arranged.
The site does not seem to be working right and/or some pages are coming up completely blank.
Our new generation of classifieds uses the latest internet standards, which are still evolving at a rapid pace. This means you will need to use a relatively new version of internet browser. The most common problem we have seen is with people using very old versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer. Our site requires that you use version 8 or newer. You can also use Firefox, Google Chrome or Opera--all of which will automatically update for you. To see which browser and version you are using, visit this page.
We have also seen issues with some internet security packages, like Kapersky, blocking certain pages. If you are experiencing this issue, contact the technical support for the product to see how to whitelist *.somd.com.
How do I edit my ad?
Go to My Account and click on My Active Listings. Below the ad you'd like to edit, click Manage This Listing and select "Edit". As you hover over the selections you'll see tool tips that tell you what they are. From there you can edit the details of your ad or edit the media (photos, video, etc.)
How do I renew my ad which has expired?
Go to My Account and click My Expired Listings. You will see a list of your expired ads for the last 120 days. Below the listing you want to renew, click Manage This Listing and click the button that corresponds to the action you want to take. You can also extend an ad that hasn't expired yet.
How do I upload a photo to my ad?
When placing your ad you will see Image & File Upload. Click Select Files and follow the instructions on the screen. We provide for one free photo per ad and facilitate up to 9 more for a small fee per photo.
How do I contact a seller?
You can contact the seller by email, phone, or whatever method they have chosen for contact in their ad.
What is the cost for advertising?
Our advertising prices are listed in the Price List.
Is this site secure?
Yes. Your transactions are protected by the latest encryption technology and our site is evaluated for PCI Security Standards. Furthermore, we never store your credit card information in any of our databases so that it can never be compromised as a result of using this site.
Can I save items to revisit later?
Yes. You can maintain your own "favorites" list within your account. Just go to My Account and then click on My Favorites. Each listing on our site has an "add to favorites" link. Simply click that link and we will add that item to your favorites list.
What if I can't find what I'm looking for?
You can set up search filters within your account area. Our site will then screen all new listings, as they are placed on the site, and if an item is listed that meets your filter (search) criteria, we will automatically send you an email notification. To setup a filter, or view your existing filters, go to My Account and click on My Listing Filters.
Is there a way to just see ads that were placed within the last day or the last week?
Certainly. On the front page of the classifieds is a search box with red buttons to facilitate viewing all ads placed with the last 24 hours, last week, last 2 weeks, or last 3 weeks. From there, you can drill down to specific categories.
